Spring is finally here, so summer can't be too
far behind!
Free music is starting to pop up all over!
For example,
Make Music
New York,
will take place on
June 21st
with music all over town!
Among the free concerts coming up this summer
will be the 30th season of
Celebrate Brooklyn,
with Isaac Hayes opening up on June 12th.
Some of the upcoming concerts are already on
their website, including Miriam Makeba on June
14th and Beth Orton on July 12th (our
Rumors page has a
list).
Along with
Celebrate Brooklyn,
a number of schedules have already been
announced, including
Central Park Summerstage,
the
River to River
Festival,
Madison Square
Park,
Folks on the Island
(Governor's Island)
and the
BAM Concerts at
MetroTech. Even
the
Lincoln Center Out of Doors
and their annual
Roots of American Music Festival
have been announced. More news to follow,
but rest assured - it's going to be a great
summer!
